ENFEM Italian partner, CEIPES, initiated the implementation of training and work-based learning activities in Palermo.
For the moment, 25 women third-country nationals tested and subscribed to the platform developed by the consortium previously to give feedback on its usefulness and functions. Especially, women tested module 1 about key competencies for entrepreneurship and modules 3 and 4 on the legal framework of employability and intercultural relations. The women who participated stated that they enjoyed the training, especially the part related to their rights as workers, since they already experienced labor exploitation.
The work-based learning consisted of study visits within the CEIPES facilities to show TCNs women what kind of job CEIPES staff do every day in different departments, especially the Employment Agency. Women had the possibility to learn what is a European project, what kind of projects CEIPES write and implement, and the work of project managers. After that, orienteers helped women to write attractive CV according to their work aspirations and competencies.
During the next weeks, CEIPES will organize other formative days with several women from third countries.
