In the framework of the European project (AMIF) ENFEM – Female Third Country National (TCNs) Integration in Local Communities through Employability and Entrepreneurship Local Oriented Strategies, implemented by the Athens Development and Destination Management Agency (ADDMA), the first event took place on Tuesday 7/2. The topic of the event was “Co-configuration and interdisciplinary in the designing of trainings for the integration of female Third-Country Nationals (TCNs) into the labor market”
The aim of the event was to start a discussion around the need to design programs and training based on the needs and skills of those receiving services, taking into account issues of interdisciplinarity and co-configuration with communities.
In total, the event was attended by representatives of 17 public bodies, such as Ministries, Migrant Integration Centers, the Public Employment Service (DYPA) as well as civil society organizations.
In the first part of the event, Mrs. Melina Daskalaki, Special Advisor to the Mayor of Athens for Migrants and Refugees and President of the Reception & Solidarity Center of the Municipality of Athens (K.Y.A.D.A), gave a greeting speech. This was followed by presentations by researchers and partners of the City of Athens on issues of inclusion, interdisciplinarity, cross-sectoral cooperation and work empowerment of female third-country nationals.
Finally, there were speeches held by women with a migrant background, who are active in the field of entrepreneurship in Greece. The aim was to record ideas and good practices in relation to the designing of training for the integration of female Third-Country National (TCNs) in the labor market as well as the networking.
